The weekend was made even more special as the City of Haines officially proclaimed June 30, 2025, “Derwin James Recognition Day,” presenting him with the Key to the City — a powerful symbol of appreciation for his leadership, philanthropy, and lasting community impact.

From the disco-inspired décor by Premier Party Orlando to heartfelt moments of connection, this annual event captured the joy, gratitude, and legacy of a hometown hero giving back to the community that raised him.
